July is Workshop Month
Hi all again.
For two weeks in July myself and Louise Bagnall will be hosting a junior film school at the Tinahely Courthouse in Co. Wicklow, along with the assistance of Carol Freeman. We'll be working with a different group of students over the course of each week to produce an animated film, which will be screened in August. Details here.
Also, I'm participating with the DCC Libraries again this year for a series of stop-motion workshops. They will be taking place on:
July 19th 14.00-17.00 > Ballyfermot Civic Centre
July 26th 14.00-17.00 > Cabra Library
July 28th 13.00-16.00 > Ballymun Library
More are in the works at the moment as well. All will be revealed as it is confirmed!

Lightbox Stop-Motion Workshop
Hi all!
Yesterday I had the pleasure of facilitating an animation workshop at the Model in Sligo for this years Lightbox Film Festival. We had a full day of storyboarding, sculpting and animating, along with a night/morning of editing for myself, as well as extensive DVD burning and packaging by Lisa P.
Earlier on today we screened the kids' films in front of the Irish premiere of Jan Sverak's Kooky Returns (Kuky se vrací) and I couldn't imagine a better film to screen with.
Here are the results which I hope speak for themselves:

Thanks to Kerry Cunningham and John Peavoy for keeping the kids from bouncing off the walls and special thanks to Steve Woods and Colin McKeown for allowing me to participate in this years events and hopefully we'll be able to host it again at Lightbox 2012!
I'm going to bed now, I'm knackered after this weekend away from work...
